Ocean series
My Ocean series explores the simple arrangement of transfers fired under a ‘China Sea’ glaze, The carved lines and applied transfers are completed during the raw stage of the process onto white Earthenware clay and bisque fired before glazing. A third firing is completed for the beautiful Opal lustre sheen which creates the iridescent colours of the water.

These earthenware pieces are suitable for light domestic use in the home. The delicate carved feather design is accentuated with a Celadon glaze. The name of the range translates as ‘ feather light’. Each piece is hand made, carved and glazed, they are food safe but not suitable for dishwasher or the oven. Slight variations will occur in the design/placing of the feathers due to their individual unique designs.
